Define your 1/2/3-shift and rotating patterns, apply per-machine overrides for machines that don't run the shop default, and roll available shift hours into a machine-by-shift capacity band the rest of your scheduling reads from. You enter the shift start and end times, working days, and which pattern each machine runs; the workbook computes net available hours per machine per week and paints a color-coded coverage calendar you can post on the floor.
